Replacement R8 coolant expansion tank
The OEM R8 expansion tank on first gen models has been a known failure point on the car. Audi released a “bandaid” waranty fix for the problem (a plastic clamp to try and prevent the OEM 2-piece tank from splitting) We have made a more permanent solution. A solid TIG welded aluminum expansion tank which fits the OEM Coolant cap and sensor. The internal baffling mimics the OEM tank’s design and the capacity is the same. Install can be done with basic hand tools but as with all of our parts we recommend professional installation. (or if you’re in the central AZ area bring it by our shop and we can do the install!)
