Polyurethane "123" Gauge Block (P-Block) Set of two.
A staple in all machinist’s tool boxes is the classic 123 gauge block measuring exactly 1in x 2in x 3in.
At WDM we found ourselves using these blocks for all sorts of applications: holding up parts in our CNC machines, blocking up products for photography, general purpose parallels for the drillpress. Touching off our Mills without worry of scratching tools. The problem with precision ground steel blocks was that: they can scratch softer parts, they’re expensive and they tend to be overkill for lighter duty work.
With this in mind we created the P-Block, a durable hard-plastic 123 block perfect for any shop. These blocks dont have the percision of a steel gauge block (we see a .002in variation in size) but what they lack in precision they make up for in versatility, They are easy to mill down if needed for custom jobs and fixtures, they can be thrown around without the worry of chipping or scratching other parts or equipment, and have proven a great general purpose tool in our arsenal.
